August 4, 2014 - Ingersoll Shale and Rise of Flowering Plants

August’s program is titled "Cretaceous Park - the Ingersoll Shale and the rise of flowering plants."  Dr. Brian Axsmith of the University of South Alabama will examine the significance of the plant fossils at this important site in Russell County and show some of the other fossils from the site including feathers and insects in amber.
